EXPLANATION

Main aims of this activity is that students learn to:
- Describe a painting.
- Find similarities and differences between paintings.
- Learn a little bit more about Leonardo Da Vinci and Archimboldo.
- Improve their vocabulary to describe paitings.
- Practise present tenses.

Level:
3 ESO

Timing: 45 minutes. They can do the last activity as homework.

Teachers:
This is just a short example to show that we have many tools to prepare very interesting activities easily. Web 2.0 helps us to do that. I have prepared all these activities in about five minutes. Moreover, internet is full of activities already made and we can used them. We can order them in a blog or a wiki.
Web 2.0 is a great tool to develop our material and make it to look nice.

5th ACTIVITY - ART -

SKILL: WRITING
GROUPING: Individual or in pairs.
ACTIVITY: Describe the pictures.
Find at least 2 painting on the internet of DA VINCI and write similarities and difference between them.

4th ACTIVITY - ART -

SKILL: READING.
GROUPING: Individual.
ACTIVITY: Read the timeline of LEONARDO DA VINCI. Tell your classmate two things you liked and two things you disliked about his life.

3rd ACTIVITY - ART-

SKILL: LISTENING.
GROUPING: Individual.
ACTIVITY: Listen to VOKI and answer the following questions.

What is his/her names?

When was s/he painted?

Who is his/her owner/boss?

GROUPING: In pairs
ACTIVITY: Can you find 10 similarities and 10 differences between these two pictures? Use as many adjective as you can and vocabulary we have learnt in activity 1.

SKILL: This is your turn to practise VOCABULARY.
GROUPING: In groups of 4.
ACTIVITY: You have 3 minutes to write as many words as you can related to:
a) Fruits you can see in the picture.
b) Parts of the body you remember.
c) Colours you remember.
